Google Turns 17 Today, Happy Birthday Google.
Happy Birthday Google !!
I was a total naive when I was 17. Okay, okay, scratch that. But Google just turned 17 today.
Google is celebrating its 17th birthday with a commemorative Doodle harking back to the web of the 1990s.
The Linux penguin peeps from behind a CRT monitor displaying the first Google home page. Humming on its side is a server made of Lego bricks. Google looks back at its early days in its ’17th birthday doodle’.
Oh yeah, It’s My Birthday !!!
So here’s the insight, If you look closely enough, you can also see the Google letters hiding in this image. There is the G, disguised as the CRT monitor, followed by the two Os, the balloons! Then there is the other lowercase “g” hidden in the pattern of that CPU. “l” is for Lava Lamp and the “e” can clearly be seen as the wire connecting the CPU.
BUT THERE’S A CONFUSION!!
Even Google seems to really not know when it was formed. Since 2006, it has celebrated its birthday on September 27, but the year before that, had it as September 26. In 2004, its 6th birthday Doodle went online on September 7 and in the year before that, it was September 8.
And above all when you click on the logo at www.google.com, it’ll automatically do a Google search for “when is google’s birthday”. It seems like we’ll never know when the real birth date of this awesome company really is.
But besides this sorcery On Tuesday, Google will be having its first major event under Sundar Pichai to unveil the new Nexus devices (how cool is that!) and hopefully like us, all of you’ll be waiting to hear about how Google will function from now on…
